Annual Announcements of Selections for Ph.D. Positions 2026
Application to the XLII Series
Call for admissions for the XLII series will be opened on April 17th, 2026 and the deadline will be postponed to May 20th, 2026 - 1 pm (Italian time).
Every year, the Doctoral Course in Geosciences receives a variable number of scholarships from the University. Research Projects on fixed topics funded by public or private bodies could also be available every year.

In the application, each student is requested to provide a research project. Application to the XLII Series - Phd at Risk Scholarships
A dedicated call for applications is currently open for the assignment of 3 “PhD at Risk” scholarships for admission to the 42nd PhD Cycle (a.y.. 2026/2027), thanks to the contribution of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo.
The initiative is aimed at candidates in situations of risk or vulnerability due to conflict, persecution, human rights violations, or political instability, including:
- people from conflict zones or humanitarian crises;
- refugees and asylum seekers;
- members of vulnerable groups subject to political, religious, ethnic, gender-related or other forms of persecution;
- individuals affected by restrictions on civil, educational, or academic freedom.
Application deadline: June 5th, 2026 – 1 pm (Italian time).
